Design Engineer/Technologist

Opening in our Langley office

We are seeking a self-motivated mechanical design engineer or design technologist with a minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical drafting and design using AutoCAD and/or Revit. The successful candidate will be involved in HVAC and Plumbing design.

We are looking to obtain an enthusiastic, talented, team player to continue growing our presence at our Langley office location. The applicant must be detail-oriented, love challenges and enjoy contributing to the success of the team in a progressive work environment.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:

  • HVAC and Plumbing design and drafting under the direction of a senior project manager
  • Liaising with client and other disciplines for coordination of the technical documents
  • Performing various other duties as assigned by the manager related to all aspects of project design and construction administration

Skills/Qualifications:

  • University degree, college/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years design and AutoCAD experience in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field
  • Able to read Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines
  • Revit experience is preferred including 2 years BIM experience with Revit MEP
  • Ability to model mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems in Revit
