Mark specializes in design for institutional projects such as hospitals, laboratories, and schools as well as recreational facilities, including pool design. His work on numerous large new health care facilities in the province has been designed to LEED® design criteria.
Mark is involved in detailed and conceptual mechanical design, budgeting, procurement and specifications, preparation and estimations of labour and materials, client negotiations, scheduling, project management, construction administration, and field reviews. Along with being an Engineer of Record, Project Manager, and Principal at Rocky Point, Mark is also the Manager of the Vancouver Office.
Robert Cenedese has been involved in the mechanical engineering consulting industry for over twenty years. Over the course of his career Robert has attained a high level of expertise in the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, and has become a valued Project Manager in the Rocky Point Engineering organization.
Robert's designs are synonymous with adherence to timelines, thorough coordination and client satisfaction, from the initial design stages through to the completion of the construction process. Over the last 5 years Robert has specialized in mechanical renovation projects, and has provided project leadership on many of our school HVAC upgrade projects. Due to his dedication to comprehensive field reviews during the design stage, his projects have been well coordinated, resulting in time and cost efficient installations during construction phase.
Tom Popovich has over thirty years experience in the design of mechanical systems for a variety of types of facilities. He has expertise in the design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as fire protection, medical gas, plumbing and geothermal systems. During his career he has worked on numerous schools, post-secondary, health care, large and small commercial complexes, high rise office towers and hotel projects. Tom also has a vast amount of experience in the renovation and upgrade of heritage type buildings including residential and commercial structures.
Tom's educational projects include schools K-12 throughout British Columbia, including many First Nation Schools located in remote, northern communities. For some of these projects he has designed geothermal and other energy efficient heating systems. He has vast experience in renovations to Universities, Colleges and Medical Training Facilities including 'iCapture" Laboratory facilities at St. Paul's Hospital.
Scott is the Manager of Construction Services at Rocky Point Engineering and has over 20 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems, in addition to construction administration for many diverse projects in British Columbia. His commitment to client care and focus on project quality has enabled him to develop and maintain many highly valued working relationships with owners, clients and contractors throughout the province.
Aaron first entered the consulting field in 1999 as a Mechanical Technologist. In the ensuing years he has worked for mechanical consulting firms in Calgary, Langley and Nanaimo, developing his career through working on numerous hospital, elementary and secondary school, post-secondary, large and small commercial, recreational, industrial and residential projects.
In 2005, Aaron joined Rocky Point Engineering as a Project Manager, continued on to become a Principal in 2011 and currently manages Rocky Point’s Nanaimo Office. He has a wide range of experience with a focus on providing high efficiency yet practical mechanical system designs working in an integrative approach with project teams and fitting within the framework of the client’s economical target and vision for the project.
In recent years Aaron has developed a strong interest in environmental and sustainability issues, and has assisted in moving projects toward greater sustainable design practices. He became a LEED accredited professional in 2007 and has designed and participated in overseeing construction of mechanical systems incorporating hybrid mechanical-natural ventilation systems, high efficiency heating/cooling plant and terminal unit design with geothermal options, storm water retention and low water consumption buildings. He has personally been involved in the project design of numerous buildings on Vancouver Island that have attained LEED certification.
