Under the radiant sun, the picturesque greens of Newlands Golf & Country Club played host to our 15th Annual Client Appreciation Golf Tournament on Thursday, July 6, 2023. This year’s event saw an impressive turnout of clients and RPE members, making it the largest and most successful tournament to date.
Year after year, this gathering brings together our esteemed clients, both old and new, for a day of outdoor relaxation, camaraderie, and fun among peers in the industry. The positive response to this event has always been heartwarming, leaving everyone looking forward to the occasion. The day commenced with an outdoor BBQ lunch, providing ample time for socializing, stretching, and honing those golf swings. A few practice putts on the green warmed up the participants for the thrilling Mega Putt challenge before they embarked on the main course.As the day’s play concluded, attendees gathered in the banquet hall for more mingling, a delightful dinner, and the highlight of the evening – the distribution of prizes! With each player’s name being drawn, the tension mounted as they received gifts, culminating in the grand prize announcement.
This year’s coveted grand prize was a Pelican Kayak! The spirit of giving was also present as we proudly shared the news of raising $750 in client donations for BC Cancer in memory of our late friend and colleague, Phil Rempel, as well as Rory Hasenkox, a 5 yr old cancer survivor, and son of our Victoria Manager, Kyle Hasenkox. To make an even greater impact, RPE decided to match the raised amount, bringing the total donation to $1500.
The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support from our valued vendors and suppliers, who generously contribute exceptional gifts year after year.
With the setting of the sun, our team is already gearing up for the next edition of this beloved event. We are determined to make it equally if not more memorable. Until we meet again next year!
