Fortis BC also contributed to the project as part of their Efficient Boiler Program One existing 4,185 MBH boiler was replaced with two condensing boilers as the central heating plant for this middle school. It is expected that the new central plant will reduce gas consumption to 65% of previous levels, while also providing heating redundancy that was lacking from the original installation in 1968.
