A new social housing development includes a 5-storey building with 119 residential suites above. The building sits on one level of parking. The complex building sits on a steeply sloped hill with a large glass-enclosed bridge between the East and West sides of the building.
The mechanical system features hydronic baseboard heating, tied to the River District Energy Utility (RDE) System and ventilation heat recovery units in each space. The central plant has been sized to connect both heating water and domestic water with the RDE through a series of pumps, heat exchangers and storage tanks. Amenity space air conditioning is achieved through a high efficiency VRF AC system.
