Upgrade of HVAC systems serving four Computer Lab Classrooms.

The existing unitary air conditioning systems were beyond their service life and required ongoing maintenance.  A new Variable Refrigerant Flow heat recovery heat pump system was installed to condition the space.  The building air handling system was reconfigured to provide ventilation for the space.  Controls for the project area were upgraded and connected to the campus DDC Building Automation System.

Allowances were made in the Variable Refrigerant Flow systems for future expansion and connection to adjacent offices.  During colder periods when the offices may require heating, the HVAC system would employ a heat recovery function, allow energy generated by the Computer Labs to be distributed elsewhere in the building without need for supplemental heat.
