The expansion project for GW Graham Secondary School added 450-seat of new space, which includes 18 additional teaching spaces, a dedicated trades space, a robotics tech program, a shared outdoor covered area, and additional washrooms. The expanded facilities were designed to support a wide range of educational programs, providing students with more opportunities for hands-on learning and collaboration.
Mechanical design for the central plant features:
- an air-source heat pump hybrid low carbon plant with water side heat recovery and high efficiency condensing boiler.
- Ventilation in the classrooms is achieved using unit ventilators and displacement ventilation combined with perimeter baseboard heating.
