The $62 million dollar Centre for Mental Health and Addictions on the Lions Gate Hospital Campus is a bright, 4-storey building designed for the comfort and healing of patients. The building  also now houses the Djavad Mowafaghian UBC Medical Education Centre for the use by specialists and medical students on the North Shore.

The HOpe Centres high efficiency building employs passive energy saving techniques along with the latest high performance mechanical systems to reduce the overall energy use of the building. Systems include heat pumps, active chilled beams, displacement ventilation, radiant heating/cooling, and a connection to the City of North Vancouver’s LEC district heating system.
